When should I start preparing to move house?
Eight weeks before completion is the comfortable runway: notice on rentals, removals quotes and decluttering all start there. The two deadlines people miss are broadband (order four weeks out — installation lead times bite) and buildings insurance, which must start at exchange, not completion.
What do people most often forget when moving?

What should go in a first-night box?
